Still Life

Vases of flowers, loose petals, and tabletop arrangements fill these works, from heavy baroque bowls of blooms to looser, modern sprays of tulips and peonies. Glass, bottles, and newsprint sometimes join the flowers, but the focus stays on color and texture built up close. Palettes range from deep, shadowed tones to bright, direct hues.
