Story

A woman dressed in green, wearing a matching hat, stands under a canopy of grape vines in a bright garden. Behind her, a horse and carriage wait in the sunlit setting, suggesting an outing about to begin. The piece was created in oil in 1890. Charles Courtney Curran (1861–1942), an American painter associated with Impressionism, produced this garden scene now held at the Frick Art & Historical Center.
