Chrysanthemums

Story

A tangle of chrysanthemum blooms fills the frame, clusters of yellow, pink, white, and red crowded together against dark green leaves, with no open space to rest the eye. The painting was made in oil in 1897 by Claude Monet. Monet, who lived from 1840 to 1926 and worked in France, painted within the Impressionism movement, also known for Haystacks.
