Story
A rose-covered arch curves over a quiet pond filled with water lilies, framed by garden beds thick with green foliage and blooms in red and purple. This oil painting was created in 1913 by Claude Monet, a French painter associated with Impressionism. The piece entered the Phoenix Art Museum as a gift from Mr. and Mrs. Donald D. Harrington, and it reflects the garden subjects he explored during his career in France.
