Le Palais da Mula

Story

A Venetian palace rises above the canal, its Gothic arches softened into reflections of blue, purple, and green on the water, with gondolas resting near the base. The painting was made in oil in 1908. Claude Monet (1840–1926), a French painter associated with Impressionism, captured the facade's shifting light and color, treating the water's surface as an extension of the architecture itself.
