Story

A hazy bridge stretches across a river, its stone arches softened by atmosphere, while small boats drift beneath on the water. The whole scene is washed in gentle pink, blue, yellow, and green tones, blurring the line between structure and sky. This oil painting was created in 1899 by Claude Monet (1840–1926), a French painter associated with Impressionism, known also for Haystacks.
