Story
Three dancers in white tutus gather in a studio, rendered in muted browns and whites that soften the room around them. The oil painting dates to 1884, part of the Musée d'Orsay collection. Edgar Degas (1834–1917) was French, working within Impressionism, and his notable work The Ballet Class reflects his engagement with similar studio subjects.
