Design for Monument to Roza Luxemburg

Story

A black square sits at the center, ringed by concentric circles in red and cream, with black rectangular and triangular shapes placed symmetrically around it. The arrangement forms a tightly balanced abstract design. This piece, a design for a monument to Roza Luxemburg, was made in 1919 using gouache, ink and pencil on paper. El Lissitzky, a Russian artist associated with Constructivism and Suprematism, created the work.
