Story

A winged figure dressed in rose-colored robes stands sideways against a shimmering gold field, golden curls crowned by a halo, one arm lifted in greeting. Fra Angelico created this piece in 1450 using gold leaf and tempera on wood panel, now held at the Detroit Institute of Arts.
