Jumping Horse

Story

A horse leaps forward in mid-stride, its body simplified into stylized curves that merge with surrounding abstract shapes of green and blue. Warm ochre and red accents punctuate the composition, adding contrast to the cooler tones. The piece is rendered in watercolor by Franz Marc (1880–1916), a German artist associated with Expressionism, known also for works such as Blue Horse I.

A cool-toned figure study suited to living rooms and media rooms, and to restaurants, in a horizontal format.
