Story

A luminous yellow circle holds fish shapes and geometric lines, splitting the composition into four sections set against deep blue, where green swirling forms curl around the edges. The painting was made in oil in 1906 by Hilma af Klint (1862–1944), a Swedish painter associated with abstract art. The piece comes courtesy of the Hilma af Klint Foundation's holdings, part of the Stiftelsen Hilma af Klint collection.
