Story

A vertical composition presents a diagram-like arrangement of symmetrical, organic shapes, suggesting anatomy rendered in greens, blues, browns, and earthy tones. The forms stack and mirror each other, evoking something between a plant structure and a body map. Hilma af Klint made this piece in 1913 using watercolour, gouache, metal and ink on paper. The Swedish artist worked within abstract art, exploring symbolic and anatomical imagery through layered organic patterning.
