Story
A girl cradles a flamingo in her arms as she speaks with an odd, richly dressed figure beside her, rendered in black ink lines full of exaggerated detail. The scene comes from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, showing Alice with flamingo in conversation with the Duchess. This lithograph dates from 1891. Its creator, John Tenniel (1820–1914), was a British caricaturist, also known for Dropping the Pilot.
