Story

A child wearing a blue and white frock rests on a tiled floor beside a small creature resembling a rabbit, the two sharing a quiet moment indoors. The scene comes from an illustration for 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' by Lewis Carroll, rendered as a hand-coloured litho in 1865. The artist, John Tenniel, born in 1820 and died in 1914, worked as a British caricaturist and graphic artist, also known for Dropping the Pilot.
