Story

A pink rose sits at the center of a mirrored arrangement, ringed by stylized blooms, leafy plants, and birds rendered in blue, green, yellow, and white. The composition balances evenly on either side of the central flower. This piece was painted in oil in 1926 by Joseph Stella (1877–1946), an Italian-American artist associated with Futurism and Precisionism.
