Still Life

Story

Three white vases hold colorful flowers and fruits, arranged together on a red cloth marked with geometric patterns. The composition balances the softness of the blooms against the structured lines of the fabric beneath them. Painted in oil in 1929, the piece reflects the hand of Joseph Stella (1877–1946), an Italian-American artist associated with Futurism and Precisionism, movements that shaped his approach to form and arrangement.

Where it works

A warm-toned still life suited to living rooms and dining rooms, and to restaurants, in a vertical format.
