Story

A blonde woman in a yellow dress spins and leaps among stylized elephants, her lively pose set against bold orange lettering that advertises a ballet-pantomime at the Folies Bergere. This image appears in a poster made in 1893 by Jules Chéret. Chéret was a French artist associated with the Art Nouveau movement, working as a designer and draftsperson, and he lived from 1836 to 1932.
