Story

Blocky patches of turquoise, lime, cream, and yellow sit side by side, their surfaces roughened and worn as if aged by time. The painted fields overlap in loose rectangles, giving a weathered quilt-like effect. Louise Gaskill made this oil on canvas work in 2020.

Where it works

Cool-toned artwork suited to living rooms and bedrooms, and to hotel guest rooms, in a vertical format.
