Story
A dense arrangement of geometric shapes and curving organic lines fills the sheet, rendered entirely in black ink against pale cream paper. The composition balances sharp angles with softer rounded forms, creating an abstract field without a clear subject. This drypoint, titled Kleine Welten XI from the Kleinen Welten portfolio, was made in 1922 by Wassily Kandinsky (1866–1944), a Russian artist associated with the Bauhaus and Expressionism.
