Landscapes

These landscapes move between open water, distant mountains, and wide stretches of beach and sand dune. Boats rest at quiet riverbanks and shorelines, while riders and bathers appear small against sky and horizon, as in "Jockeys on Horseback before Distant Hills" by Edgar Degas. The palette ranges from sunlit coastal light to the cooler shadows of a stormy evening.
