Study of a lily

Story

A single lily rises on a slender green stem, its petals rendered in blue with small red stamens visible at the center, set against aged paper. The study is a watercolour, dated 1526, capturing the plant with careful attention to color and form. Albrecht Dürer (1471–1528) was German, associated with the German Renaissance, and worked across engraving and design.
