Story

Rings radiate outward across the surface, their circular forms linked by winding, curved paths and fields of dotted texture. Red, white, blue, yellow, and brown tones layer together, building a rhythm that pulls the eye through the composition. Painted in acrylic in 1990, the work carries the dotting technique associated with Aboriginal dot painting. Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri (1932–2002), an Australian First Nation painter known also for Warlugulong, created this piece.
