Delphinums and Columbine

Story

A clear glass vase holds a soft gathering of delphiniums and columbine blossoms, set against a plain white backdrop framed by red-brown borders. The arrangement sits quietly centered, letting the slender stems and open petals catch the eye without any other background distraction. This oil composition was completed in 1923 by Florine Stettheimer, an American artist who lived from 1871 to 1944 and also worked as a designer and costume designer.
