Story
A woman dressed in yellow trimmed with roses stands reading a note she holds in her hand, while a man in uniform gestures from behind her, the whole scene set against a shadowed backdrop. The poster dates from 1902, created by Jules Alexander Grun (1868–1938). Grun worked within the Post-impressionist movement and was also active as a caricaturist, draftsperson, and graphic artist.
