Jenny Phillips is a San Francisco–based artist whose work is shaped by a lifelong engagement with art, design, and performance. Raised between Eastern Long Island, Majorca, and New York City, she studied Art History at Denison University, where she worked as a teaching assistant in printmaking and received the Woodrow Deckman Studio Art Scholarship. After graduation, she spent her formative years in New York as a graphic designer, immersed in the creative energy of Brooklyn Academy of Music. The theater, dance, and music she experienced there continue to influence the mood, rhythm, and movement found in her work. Relocating to San Francisco in 1998, Phillips eventually transitioned from graphic design to a full-time art practice, studying at California College of the Arts, the San Francisco Art Institute, and Kala Art Institute. Since 2010, she has exhibited widely across the United States, with works held in private and institutional collections, and has completed major public commissions, including a mural for Lululemon in Walnut Creek, California.
