Mount Hood in Oregon

Story

A snow-covered peak rises above a hazy expanse of wooded valleys, quiet lakes, and animals grazing below, rendered in soft greens and whites that blend into the mist. The scene is painted in oil, depicting Mount Hood in Oregon. Albert Bierstadt (1830–1902), a German-American painter associated with the Hudson River school, also created North Dome, Yosemite Valley, and worked as a photographer and architectural drafter.
