Story
A single iris plant rises against a pale backdrop, its blossoms rendered in deep blue-purple tones above slender green stems and leaves. The piece is executed in watercolour and gouache on paper. It was made by Albrecht Dürer, a German artist who lived from 1471 to 1528 and worked within the German Renaissance, also known for the notable work Adam and Eve.
