Story

A young face appears in profile, turned gently to one side, with a soft cap resting on the head and loose, draped clothing falling from the shoulders against a plain beige background. The portrait is rendered in pencil on paper, dated 1484. It was made by Albrecht Dürer (1471–1528), a German artist associated with the German Renaissance, who later produced the notable work Adam and Eve.
