Plate 11 from Harmonia Macrocosmica

Story

Earth sits at the center of layered spheres, drawn as circles within circles, while figures drift in clouds around the edges. The palette stays soft, built from muted blues, greens, and earth tones, giving the diagram a quiet, aged feel. This is Plate 11 from Harmonia Macrocosmica. Andreas Cellarius (1596–1665), a Dutch-German astronomer, cartographer, and geographer, created this celestial chart for that larger atlas of the heavens.

Where it works

Warm-toned artwork suited to libraries and studies, and to hotel guest rooms, in a horizontal format.
