Gumball 14

Story

A red gumball machine stands against a dark backdrop, its glass globe packed with candies in bright, varied colors, the metal fittings catching light with decorative detail. The piece belongs to Charles Bell's photorealist practice, rendering the ordinary machine with sharp precision and intense color. Bell, an American artist (1935–1995), worked within the photorealism movement, giving everyday objects a heightened, almost hyperreal clarity and presence.

Where it works

Warm-toned artwork suited to kids' rooms and kitchens, and to restaurants, in a vertical format.
