Story

A quiet bend of water fills the scene, its surface dotted with waterlilies while slender branches of a weeping willow trail down from above and flowering plants edge the bank. Yellows, blues, greens, and earthy browns blend across the composition, giving the pond corner a soft, layered feel. The piece is the work of Claude Monet (1840–1926), a French painter associated with Impressionism, also known for Haystacks.
