Story
A small hillside hamlet rises above rolling land, its stone buildings wrapped in ivy, set against greens, browns, and whites under a blue sky. The composition suggests a quiet cluster of dwellings perched near open terrain, rendered with loose, visible brushwork characteristic of Impressionism. Claude Monet (1840–1926), a French painter and graphic artist, worked within this movement, also known for Impression, Sunrise, Haystacks, and Garden at Sainte-Adresse.
Where it works
Warm-toned artwork suited to living rooms and bedrooms, and to hotel guest rooms, in a horizontal format.
