Haystack at Giverny

Story

A single large haystack rises from a reddish field, with farm buildings and thick green trees gathered behind it under a soft, pale sky. The scene is rendered in oil on canvas, completed in 1886. The painting is held in the Hermitage Museum. It is the work of Claude Monet (1840–1926), a French painter associated with Impressionism, whose notable works include Haystacks.
