Haystacks at Chailly

Story

A pair of dark haystacks rises from a green field under a sky streaked with blue, yellow, and orange as twilight settles in. The scene is rendered in oil, part of Monet's Haystacks subject. Claude Monet (1840–1926), a French painter associated with Impressionism, captured this fleeting atmosphere. The San Diego Museum of Art holds the piece, acquired through museum purchase.
