La Debacle

Story

A frozen river stretches beneath a pale sky, its surface broken into drifting ice floes. Bare trees line the banks, and a small village sits in the distance, all painted in gentle blues, whites, and earthy browns. This oil painting, La Debacle, was created in 1880 by Claude Monet (1840–1926), a French painter associated with Impressionism, known for Impression, Sunrise.
