Story
A curved footbridge in the Japanese style rises above a quiet pond, its reflection mingling with floating water lilies and the hanging branches of willows, all rendered in cool greens, soft blues, and touches of pink. The scene was painted in oil in 1899 by Claude Monet (1840–1926), a French artist associated with Impressionism, known also for Haystacks.
