Story
Across still water, a grand palace rises along a distant shoreline, its facade softened by haze under a sky washed in violet. Golden light spreads over the surface below, blurring the line between structure and reflection, giving the whole waterfront scene a quiet, glowing atmosphere. This oil painting was made in 1908 by Claude Monet, a French painter associated with Impressionism, also known for Haystacks.
