Story
The silhouette of a riverside government building rises above the water, its form echoed in rippling reflections on the Thames. A soft, veiled atmosphere settles over the scene, rendered in muted purples, blues, and yellows beneath a hazy sky. This oil painting was completed in 1905 by Claude Monet (1840–1926), a French painter associated with Impressionism, also known for Impression, Sunrise.
