The House In The Roses

Story

Clusters of pink and red roses crowd the foreground, their blooms opening toward a hazy purple landscape beyond, all beneath a soft blue sky. The composition sits within the Impressionist style, built from loose touches of color that blur the line between garden and horizon. Claude Monet (1840–1926), a French painter associated with Impressionism, also created Impression, Sunrise, among other works exploring light and nature.

Where it works

Pastel artwork suited to living rooms and dining rooms, and to hotel guest rooms, in a vertical format.
