The House Through The Roses

Story

A pale house emerges behind a screen of blooming roses and leafy branches, rendered in soft tones of pink, green, blue, and cream. The brushwork dissolves the architecture into color and light, blending structure with the surrounding garden. The piece belongs to the Impressionist movement, created by Claude Monet (1840–1926), a French painter whose Impressionist approach favored atmosphere and natural light over sharp detail.

Where it works

Pastel artwork suited to living rooms and bedrooms, and to hotel guest rooms, in a horizontal format.
