The Japanese Bridge

Story

A curved footbridge rises over a quiet pond, framed by weeping willows rendered in sweeping strokes of green, blue, and yellow. Lush foliage spills toward the water's edge, blurred together with loose, energetic brushwork that softens every edge. Painted in 1918, the piece belongs to Claude Monet, a French painter and graphic artist associated with Impressionism, also known for Impression, Sunrise.
