The Seine at Vetheuil

Story

A quiet river scene unfolds along the Seine, its hillsides dressed in cypress trees and washed in tones of green, gold, and brown beneath a sky thick with clouds. The water reflects the muted light of the day, carrying the eye toward the distant shore. The piece, titled The Seine at Vetheuil, comes from Claude Monet (1840–1926), a French painter associated with Impressionism.

Where it works

Warm-toned artwork suited to living rooms and dining rooms, and to hotel guest rooms, in a horizontal format.
