Story
A bridge crosses the Thames beneath a sky softened into hazy pinks, purples, and blues, the water and air blending into one gentle veil of color. The structure's form remains visible but muted, dissolved by light and mist rather than drawn with sharp lines. This is an oil on canvas completed in 1903 by Claude Monet, a French painter associated with Impressionism, known also for Impression, Sunrise.
Where it works
Cool-toned artwork suited to living rooms and bedrooms, and to hotel guest rooms, in a horizontal format.
