Story

A garden path winds through trees rendered in soft greens, yellows, and blues, with a hazy sky and distant cathedral spires rising over the scene. The Pavillon de Flore and the Tuileries Garden anchor the composition in oil on canvas, painted in 1875. Claude Monet, a French painter (1840–1926) associated with Impressionism, captured the setting with loose, atmospheric brushwork typical of the style.
