Vetheuil

Story

A church spire rises white among tall trees along a riverbank, with blue water below and yellow fields spreading under a cloudy sky. The composition favors a quiet village view at the water's edge, where color and light take precedence over fine detail. This piece, titled Vetheuil, was painted by Claude Monet (1840–1926), a French artist associated with Impressionism, also known for Garden at Sainte-Adresse.

Where it works

Cool-toned artwork suited to living rooms and bedrooms, and to hotel guest rooms, in a horizontal format.
