Story
A quiet pond fills the surface, its water lilies and pads drifting in soft blues, greens, and yellows under loose, open brushstrokes that blur reflection and surface into one another. The painting carries the title Water Lilies. Claude Monet (1840–1926), a French painter and graphic artist, made this piece within the Impressionism movement, also known for Haystacks and Garden at Sainte-Adresse.
