Story
A tranquil pond fills the composition, its surface scattered with water lilies while weeping willows lean in along the edges. Soft blues, greens, and muted earth tones blend across the water, giving the scene a hushed, reflective quality. This oil on canvas was completed in 1903 by Claude Monet, a French painter associated with Impressionism, known also for Haystacks.
