Story
A hazy span crosses the Thames, its stone arches softened by fog as small boats drift along the water below, all painted in muted blues, grays, and whites. The scene is rendered in oil on canvas, completed in 1903 by Claude Monet. A French painter working within Impressionism, Monet also created the notable Haystacks series, and this canvas now belongs to the Hermitage Museum.
