Corkwood Dreaming

Story

A patterned landscape unfolds through countless small dots, built from rings of green-blue, bone white, deep red, and golden tan, with layered circles anchored in the middle and softer rounded forms spreading outward across the surface. The composition suggests an aerial view of country, dense with texture and rhythm. Painted in acrylic in 1992, the piece comes from Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri (1932–2002), an Australian First Nation painter also known for Warlugulong.
