Men's Dreaming

Story

Across the surface, pale daisy-like clusters sit among coiling yellow spirals and winding snakelike lines, set over grounds of ochre, burgundy, and blue. The composition builds a layered rhythm, pattern and color shifting as the eye moves across the dots and curves. Painted in 1988 using acrylic, the work comes from Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri, an Australian First Nation painter also known for Warlugulong.
